Don't know why Southport do not adopt this kind of thing in the winter months when their huge car parks are empty, at least people will visit and use the local traders.

The good news about Weymouth for us on here is that they are building a French style aire at the Lodmoor country park car park and they hope to have it open for Easter. 
 £5 for 24 hours is the suggested rate.

N 50 37.346  W 2 26.878 is the approximate location which is not far from town and not far from the beach !

Thats great news Mick we like to visit Weymouth once or twice a year as it is local to us.
It is a great place to visit with loads to do.Its a shame more places dont adopt this, but maybee its a start for other seaside resorts.
