Someones dropped a clanger at lottery HQ

Post by KSH on Fri 25 Mar 2016 - 22:23

Big question is
have we got 2 lines with 2 numbers
or
1 line with 2 numbers and 1 line with 2 numbers and a lucky star Shocked

This could be a life changing mistake for us all Very Happy

I have changed it back to 8 Jan and put the winnings in accordingly, can't believe they make mistakes like this, surely this kind of thing should be double checked before making it live on their website Shocked
I'll think twice before throwing a ticket away, I'll check it a few days later as well

Doubt it, they paid out with the right numbers. They state on their site they are not liable for any mistakes Sad

The National Lottery
Dear Mr Hacking

Thank you for your email dated 25 March 2016 regarding the EuroMillions draw on 25 March.

As a result of human error, an incorrect Lucky Star was published on the National Lottery website, apps and BBC Red Button following the EuroMillions draw on 25 March. The Lucky Stars drawn were 05 and 08, but the website was showing 05 and 06.

This has now been fixed and all numbers are now correctly displayed. Please note that this did not affect prize payments as all prizes were processed using the correct results.

We’re very sorry for any inconvenience caused.

I hope the above has been helpful but if you have any further queries, please do contact us again.

Yours sincerely

Mairead Sullivan
National Lottery Customer Care Team
