What a tearful month Empty
PostSubject: What a tearful month   What a tearful month I_icon_minitimeSat 23 Apr 2016 - 11:18

Haven't we lost a lot of famous people who have died this year. BBC are blaming it on the baby boom after the war.

In the last month or so we have lost a very good friend who Colin and I have know for over 50years. He was younger than myself and died far too early. I've lost an Aunt who had been poorly, but not that poorly.

So second week of April was funeral week but the night of my Aunt's funeral my healthy cat, Blacks, had a heart attack and never recovered passing away mid afternoon the following day. As that wasn't bad enough the cat that was ill, Tabs, who had a few more months left, passed away about six hours later. The house is so empty. Perhaps only cat 'staff' will know how I feel. Wink

The big question now is do I rescue another cat or dog? We've had German Shepherd dogs in the past but I don't feel as though I can handle them now because of arthritis in my hands. Keep saying I will wait until mid May but I don't think I can last much longer. I've been looking on the local rescue websites as you do. Dare not go to the rescue centres because I will come home with all the animals there lol.

Know exactly how you feel, even though they don't make a lot of noise there is a weird kind of silence in the house, good idea rescuing one, so many in them places that need a loving home

I know Ken - we usually rescue dogs but when the last one died the two locally abandoned cats adopted us to look after them lol.

That was ten years ago and I didn't realise how well they had trained us. Still keep going to look to see if they ok and if there is enough biscuits in their dish.

Thinking a little dog at the moment - nothing definite - just thinking Smile Have looked at the local rescue centres online and there are lots of large dogs but know I am unable to cope with one now. But there is one very small one ...... Wink
