Hi how did you get the Umwelt Plakette and how much did it cost I was told that you got them from a garage in Germany.

if search the internet you can find places that sell them. You have to be careful as the price can range from £30 down to £5 so don't buy the first one you find, check as many sites as possible. Or buy one from a garage when you get there.

You will need your log book to show the CO2 emissions as that will define the colour of the Umwelt Plakette so you will have to send it off. We scanned ours and I think Jan emailed it across but not sure.

We tried getting one from a garage a couple of years ago when over there but they couldn't issue it, no idea why. Managed to get ours and Tugga's from a Berlin website about €5 each. As Tugga said I emailed copies of our logbooks across and received them a week later - dead simple.

I am amazed I sent off for the emissions sticker on Monday afternoon and when I got home today it was laying on my door mat what good service

When are you going?

We leave home on 28th June going to eastbound first then catch ferry to Dunkirk first thing Monday morning we will be traveling around a bit and return home on August 3rd

Ohhhhhh we are going out on the 1st Sept and coming home 15th sept

Now that I an nearly 60 I have to take things a lot slower so things take longer to do

Not all garages in Germany issue them, but the TÜV-STATIONEN's do - they are like our mot places - just go in with your log book and 5 euros, your registration details go into the computer terminal, they will have your emission details within seconds and print out your vehicles lifetime window sticker.

No not going to the show but we will be visiting some friends over there

We are leaving 1st Sept. for 4 weeks but not going to the show as we have bee twice before and it is a great event, Polly you do not need your bus pass as there is free transport 40 km around the show with your show ticket.

Fancy the Rugen area this trip so anyone going that way we could have a coffee or a bike ride :-)

Rob n Polly, you will need some stamina too get around a show of this size but it is great trying with loads to see and do.

And a bike ride down the riverbank too Alstadt Old town is well worth the effort, great for a walk around and loads of cafes and bars along the riverbank and in the old town.

This is the last week of our trip over there
Not sure where were going but if we're near enough will make a visit to the show on our way back

I am back and have LOTS of Euros left over from our all inclusive hols so roll on the show and Germany
