France July till August

Good day to you all we are off to France again this year for a month but this year we are not going to be following the coast around we are going to be driving along the border of France and Belgium and Luxemburg, when we leave the ferry at Dunkirk we did plan to drive straight down to Lille for our first stop off but in the book there is only one Aire and it only has 4 places so I was wondering does any one know of any other places in the area to spend a night or two.

Sorry, Can't help you myself but sure someone will be along soon and point you in the right directions

We stopped at Bergues about 20miles east of Calais. Very large aire but no facilities, next to old town with ramparts. We did one night at Bavay ok for overnight then moved on to Eppe Sauvage in France on the Belgium border. This one was the best of all overlooking a lake and we stayed several days, loads of facilities nearby including free Wi-Fi. All 3 aires were free and in the book and Quicksam recommended them to us. Hope this helps.

There is a brand new aire at Louvre Lens South West of Lille. Not shown on google maps as I said it's new but this is the access point from where it is signed
