| For info, just saw this on another Forum. I've had one of these for a while, and its been a great backup to the MiFi 3 sim -
"We were away this weekend and used our K3565 non-expiring dongle and received an SMS from Vodafone advising that the tarrifs were changing.
"It's taken a bit of searching to find the right place to read about it but this topic on the Vodafone forum confirms that they are no longer non-expiring and instead will be expiring just like all their other dongles. There are also other topics on the Vodafone forum asking what is going to happen to people's credit that they already have.
To compensate they are offering everybody 1GB of data that lasts 90 days free of charge to start off but once that expires top ups will either last one day or 30 days depending on the bundle purchased. One day costs £3.
I'm frustrated that Vodafone feel that sending the SIM a text message is acceptable to change the terms and conditions. Others on the Vodafone forum are already complaining and rightly so. "

| Thanks for letting us know, is this for the Irish sim? thats the one I have. But personally after quite a bit of testing lately, you are better with a data sim on the 3 network, can get them off Amazon for just over £11 and that gives you 3 months access of 1gb per month, just buy another sim when it runs out as its cheaper than topping up. I have tried a few providers in my mifi over the last couple of month and 3 won hands down _________________ Keeping Leapys boat sailing [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] | |

| A couple of reasons for me. Tethering I can only connect one devise, MiFi can connect 8 but we only connect 3 I'm not happy with Vodafones coverage so still got the phone on that but will be changing to three soon when my contract is up. Have the Vodafone sim but hardly use it, handy when no Vodafone signal because with the Irish dim's you can roam onto other networks but you can't with a UK sim _________________ Keeping Leapys boat sailing [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] | |

Our MiFi is on Contract from Three, had it from way before we had a Smartphone. Threatened to cancel once, but the nice folks at Three instantly cut my contract from 15 pounds to 7 pounds a month, and sent a brand new MiFi......it seemed rude not to keep it at that price [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] Never need any more Data, as we always stay within the limits (1gb per month) Have to say, its been absolutely brilliant, only failed to find a signal twice in all that time....wouldn't part with it now. Also, phones running as Access Points tend to run VERY hot, and draw so much current the charger can't keep up sometimes...so only ever use that if all else fails.

| I attempted to use my Vodafone dongle beginning of August, as purchased through Andy a few years ago, and I have lost all my credit and the telephone number has disappeared. Was thinking of going into the Vodafone store and sorting it out in public. | |

| One of mine did that last year. It's so easy to go more than 180 days without using it and then it is lost | |

| We used a dongle when we did a 6 month stint in 2010 & it was very good then but have never bothered with it since, I think it is unnecessary money...I think they have had there day. Technology! !!. | |

| Just found these postings on dongles etc...I now tether from my Vodaphone contract iPhone when using the ipad...I've removed sim and don't use the 3 g on ipad....reason I was in hospital months ago watching itv player on my ipad but fell asleep while on a morphine drip for hours....when my bill came it was over £400 apparently the streaming of tv uses lots of data...I had an agreement with V P that if I went over £10 allowance on my data for ipad I would get a text...( not that it would have mattered as I was out of it on morphine...but that text never arrived... I refused to pay the bill and threatened VP with trading standards fir breaking their arrangement..I won them over they deleted all the bill.....so be carefull with the data you use if on a contract .....if anyone wants the unit ,pm me ...lol Marie Problem with tethering Vodaphone signal is bad and it will inky tether if signal is found...but they do a great contract of unlimited calls for unlimited time ( excellent while away) texts and decent data ...fir £20 a month .... | |
