| well mark,we love benidorm,we dont go to the town of a night, unless we go to see a specific act{and not that sripper woman, never seen her never will}but we go to the tapas alley in the old town, and a good music bar on the beach.and you get all the british tv by plug in.the site is a bit costly{not acsi}but the location is A 1.and the drinks /food prices are a fraction of what you pay in france. | |

| Hi tessajoe
Bit new to this, just recently joined Motor-Homers...... but just read your post about ferry discount to Spain and was wondering how you got such a good deal and free breakfast!!! We're hoping to travel to Spain end of January/early February for the first time. Just started looking at ferry prices from Portsmouth (one way) perhaps sailing down and driving home through France. Prices we are finding are nearly £400 before adding the dog!
Also anyone taken a dog on that trip? Would like some idea of their experience with a dog on such a long trip. What the kennels are like, how often can you visit them, where you can exercise them etc?

| hi,to get a 1/3 discount on your ferry{ferry only.and not accomadation}you have to join the overseas club.if you go to the website and have a look it will explain all.
as regards the dog, they have 10 dog friendly cabins on each crossing bilbao/santander,but you have to book very early to get one.
they do have kennels and you can go and take your pet out for a walk etc,but i have only ever used the cabins so cannot inform you any further.hope this helps.

| To get the best out of the deal if you can get someone else to join the club with you it will cost a further 50 or 60 pound,so in total you would pay 250/260 pound split beetween 2 of you,and you both get the same benefits ie breakfast allowance, and a 1/3 off your ferry.
so presuming you can get another person to join with you,you will get a 1/3 of your ferry crossing/s.
and you get 10 per cent off any french crossings.
further to that if anyone uses your code to get the 10 per cent discount, you get 10 pound into your account.

| Hi
Thanks for all the info. We'll look further into it....but not sure if it will be worth us joining the overseas club because this will probably be our only trip to Spain in the next 12 months - have to get our calculators out and do the sums.
