Anyone been
Really really want to go

Seen a trip for 3 nights by plane

Think the kids can put toward it for my chrimbo present

No Polly, never been. Its on my wish list, but you cannot guarantee to see the Northern Lights, something to do with the atmosphere at the time.

If you can, then go for it. It has to be one of the most spectacular sights on planet earth.

Some people go from Anglesey in their MH.... 3 month round trip. Would be great wouldn't it?!! Can't wait to retire....

Saw that we had Sunday as a free day so just booked Gullfoss Geysir
Tour as well now
Can't have us stood still to long and getting cold

Well our Claire and I are in Iceland. We arrived Friday home on Monday
Great accommodation we are on the top floor 6 and look out over the sea, well there is a petrol station and building in front but the view is good.
Friday evening we found out whale watching and Northern lights were cancelled for Saturday . Due to the horrendous conditions. So we changed our Whale to our geezer trip for Saturday.
Saturday arrived and our gezzer trip was cancelled. So we kept both options open for Sunday
We had a lovely walk into town and went to see the Catherdral , the wind decided to become a gale and I fact we had to hold onto each other so we didn't get blown of our feet. We nearly got blown into and over the wall. It was like one of those episodes of you've been framed. So we took shelter in the church.
We walked back to our hotel or should I say blown back.
Later we decided to venture out again and took the bus to the Harpa ( concert venue)
This was lovely.
People were just hanging about near the escalators. We thought something must be on and they were eating.mwe ventured fit her and there was a side room where people were sat watching a man play chess against the computer.
On returning into the main hall a young girl was banging her drum and went up the escalater where she was joined by the crowd of people they all began to sing. On the upper floor musicians appeared, it was great , hope I recorded it .
We had a walk around the old harbour and town before we decided to walk back to the hotel.
Lights cancelled again and So we stayed home as we were tired ha ha
Our last chance for the gezzers and waterfall today but not holding out much hope.
I have a plan B a ride on public transport to a town.

The weather as been awful BUT we have enjoyed it

Been up the mountain near the site Polly and we found a waterfall but it was frozen and also saw a geezer, he was on a donkey on the way home from work, hope you see your geezer tomorrow

Yep gezzer and waterfall was on
7 hours
The pass we were coming back on e ( the coach) had to turn around due to the winds

We saw grandad geezer and grandson bubbled. But the paths were very icy
We went to the waterfall but I couldn't get there ( I tried) to icy and only our Claire to hold on to no rail. Claire went to take photos, so will see what she as
She couldn't go down the 100 steps as they were iced up
No lights tonight

Everything as been against us
But we have had an experience
We visited Reycvik old harbour yesterday and that was lovely. I had p,an B today which I also think would have been lovely

Our Claire saw some of the waterfall.
It was to icy for me to get to where Claire went and to see the full waterfall it was lethal
