| We bought Caravan Club European Multi trip personal & breakdown insurance for £270 in May this year. Bit pricey but paid it for peace of mind. Had a problem with the motor home for the first time while in Germany in September and was very pleased with the response and support from the Caravan Club. | |

| Thanks for all your input , I have looked around and decided to go back with the RAC, on the assumption they wont let me down ,should I be unfortunate to breakdown again , renewed it through Comfort added to my M/H insurance ,that appears the cheapest way | |

| I tried yesterday to get insurance from ADAC when I rang they said that I would have to contact a UK breakdown insurance company. rather confused as I 've been told that they have been renewing other peoples cover My daughter speaks fluent German (was married to a German and lived there for many years) rang them today and was told that they have stopped taking any new members from the UK as from last week. I have taken cover from Saga not sure what they are like hopefully I wont need it.

Wish I had seen your post sooner. The breakdown recovery clubs are going through big big changes. We were told by an insider that if a particular franchise withdrew from one very large breakdown recovery club it would seriously harm the them. Needless to say the club has now lost the franchise contract. Always make sure the club is aware of your motorhome length, width and height because they have certain vehicle sizes they will not cover. | |

| Just renewed my breakdown insurance for the year again with RAC gone up over 30 quid, that's over 20% increase, but you are a bit stuffed when you're m/h is over 20 years old,8m long & nearly 5 tonnes. | |
