I know many of you use apple products... I like many others has some problems with my mini ipad when I completed new update. I went into the apple shop in Leeds to try and sort the problem although they were very helpful I found the problem unresolved when I checked again via wifi. I googled on line Apple Mac help... An 0800 number came up with free help and some mac terminology ( easy mistake to make ) when the operator answered she was obvious Indian very well spoken although the number was a uk free phone ... She explained she needed my Apple ID and would take a remote control of my screen .... I am usually very astute with security etc... She used all mac terminology etc she told me I would be able to see everything she was doing and be able to terminate at any time ... Think you're all getting the gist... When she went into my utilities I immediately knew something was wrong... I asked which support section of mac was she etc etc she answered intelligently but went all round the houses. I stopped the remote session and the call... I went into my hardrive as much as my knowledge would allow which was quite a lot... My bank security had been attempted to be threatened address book emails Apple ID security ..I phoned apple with another link they were great.. I stopped any online accounts changed p words within an hour... I can't use wifi at the mo I'm on 4 g until I get a brand new hard drive to transfer all details on and apple executes the software which has been put on my laptop.. Beware the company are called Yogi they come. Above apple support on google search you would be forgiven for thinking this is a genuine apple help line .. Apple Mac forums are flooded with complaints if killed screens.. It's scary as they also advertise as apple icloud help and can get your icloud id and all your info ... It's goodbye to online banking got me... I'm closing them down all eggs in one internet basket comes to mind.. I've had four days of hell with my devices and trying to get back to normality and believe me it's hard to pull wool over my eyes I won't even let a cold caller get past hello ... Being an X 999 operator I've seen and heard it all .... Hope this long post helps .. MARIE
PS LOVING THE NEW APPLE IPHONE 5 s on fast 4 g EE ITS FASTER THAN MY WIFI great for tethering the ipad off in the van .... But new technology being fab has also a lot to answer for .. Bring back pen paper and a safe ... All is forgiven ...
