Portable de-humidifiers

As anyone got or used one of these portable dehumidifiers?
Thought they might be handy in the van, Adele found an advert in the paper, 2 for £23 but I have just found them on Amazon for £17.57

Ken, read the reviews and not completely satisfied they would work well in a m/h especially one my size, would need some better reviews on this before committing.

I wouldn't expect them to clear a van from all moisture, thought more of putting it in cab area (we close it off with a curtain) and in the cupboard were the food tins are, they always seem to be a bit wet

Hmm, the review I just read said recharge them in a conservatory - how much for one of them fitting to my van? and does glass fold away   
But reason they said that is when they are charging, the hot element will create steam and put the moisture back into the room you are trying to keep clear   
Suppose they will do just the same job as the disposable ones we use, but these can be recharged, I usually buy a bag of crystals and refill mine

Yes we tend to only use the crystal type plastic container one works ok while standing but not so good when away this time of year!.
Will watch this space...
