| Just used the Motorhome Overnight parking in St. Annes for first time. Its worth the fiver overnight fee - so close to centre of town. There were 7 vans in last night so Fylde council must be happy with the revenue. Great resource , other coastal towns should learn the lesson. | |

| Is this the one by the baths? I might start using places like this for one nighters when we can't get away for the full weekend _________________ Keeping Leapys boat sailing [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] | |

| Yes Ken , right next to the prom. There is a Toby carvery adjacent, but it's in walking distance of town with lots of restaurants and a Wetherspoons with good ales. | |

Hi, is this a new pricing structure or is it still £10 for 24 hours like it was last summer ? | |

| [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]The Parking : note the bays were small don't know if they have widened or lengthened them but i did post quite a few pics on the St Annes website last year complaining that larger motorhomes were struggling to park and get in and out especially when busy (cars would block you in) | |

| Here's a new release from St Annes: Two new deals for drivers are being introduced in Fylde to encourage residents to keep their shopping local. From 2 April Fylde Council will introduce a new range of more flexible car-park charges. The changes are expected to be revenue-neutral with shorter – and cheaper – parking charges for shorter stays.A second scheme, from 1 May, involves introduction of a new Fylde Residents’ Permit Scheme. The one-year trial scheme, also expected to be revenue-neutral, involves an invitation to residents to pay a £25 annual fee – which will allow them to park for up to two hours on a number of long-stay car-parks. Details from Tuesday 18 March at: [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]April’s flexible parking regime will include introduction of a multi-day tariff on the Lytham train station car-park and a multi-day tariff for the St Annes swimming pool car-park. These longer tariffs will benefit people using the train for a short holiday and will make it simpler for holidaying motorhome users to stay longer in St Annes.Councillor Albert Pounder, Fylde Council cabinet member for Operational Services, said: “No charges are going up. These are simply changes to make it simpler for local shoppers to pop into town for short shopping trips, so they will spend their money with Fylde businesses rather than go out of town.“From April we will have new 30-minute tariffs for existing short-stay car-parks and new 60-minute tariffs for long-stay car-parks. Both these charges are shorter and cheaper than the existing minimum stays while the existing charges are unchanged.“The changes are all about flexibility which will benefit shoppers and also the town-centre businesses that support local jobs in and out of the tourist season.“The new train station tariffs will help people who are going away for a few days: at the least we will save them a taxi fare to the station.”The changes were agreed by full council at the annual budget-setting meeting on 3 March | |

| The Bays - there are 6 longer and wider bays behind the Toby Carvery i.e. At right angles to the prom. I think about 9 meters long. | |

| Seems to read - on the notice boards - that it's £9.30 for 24 hours. Then the price structure will change in April/May. Is that how you see it ? | |

Is that how you see it ? Looks like it there is a 3 night limit so maybe be a 3 night price . | There was talk a while back about putting a water point in at this place so I decided to email them and ask what the latest info was on this and also asked why card payments aren't available even though they have a card enabled machine. Received this reply from them this morning - Quote :
- Dear Ken,
Thank you for your email. Unfortunately you are correct that at the moment the machines only accept coins (including £2, not just £1 coins). There is a sign on the front of the machine which does say ‘payment by debit/credit cards currently not available’. We are currently in the process of upgrading all of our machines, part of which will involve enabling card payments. Hopefully this will become available within the coming months.
With regard the provision of a water supply, currently there are no plans for this. The cost of installing this will be extremely expensive due to the distance from the mains water supply, possibly up to 200m away. On top of that is potential issues with regards planning permission. However that does not mean that this will not go ahead at some point in the future when Local Government funding improves. There is also a report on this scheme on their website which I have attached to this post - Attachments
