Just had a few days at Lyndon Tops on Rutland water, very nice site, grass like a golf course fairway, Arthur (site maintence guy) was very helpful and the site is close by one of two visitor centers.  Ospreys are there, 5 pairs around the lake but only one pair on TV at the South Shore visitor centre (the smaller of the two), lots of hides around the lake for birdwatchers.

Launching fees depend on size of boat - roughly £10 per day which is about £7 less than sailing club charge
