One last job to do -now where did I put those bingo tickets????
Granddaughter coming today - lucky for her I have built a new trampoline and scooter!!
Bit of a grey start but supposed to be brighter later

Ideal weather for washing the van roof - must be ready for the eye in the sky !
 

Just been to the garage and had a nice shiny new power steering pump fitted, steering is much better now, but my purse has gone into meltdown, ah the joys of motoring.

Just have to pop out to get my last minute items and then I will be on the road-its nearly permanent roadworks for me -at bottom of road , in Derby , most of way up M1-the joys of motoring!

Good morning all, Frak and us will be there later today after stopping en-route for lunch on the Woodhead pass.

Long queues on the A38 to get on the M1 at the moment....
M1 has lane closures from J28 to M18... could be a long drive !

Seems to be always roadworks on that stretch of the M1.
Can you take the alternative route and join M1 at the junction before the M18 , is it junction 31 or 32.
Wish I was going but all will be revealed at the next meet.
Rained very heavily here through the night so hope that means it will be fine all weekend.

Alternative route A61 - could be just as bad with holdups in Clay Cross and Chesterfield then all the little villages going cross country to the park or going the long way round A61 and A57.

Sun trying to peek through here and weather forecast looking promising for the weekend. Was surprised to hear Rother Valley had thunder storm yesterday we had a April shower I know it was the first day of May.  Hope all at Rother are having a good time and the sailors are keeping dry .

Just back from a stroll 
We were looking for the canal but when asking people they said it was a good few miles

So we just carried on

Then the rain came or was it hailstone or sleet. Luckily we had just gone under a bridge,so lot ok shelter.
Izzy decided she had had enough so we came back.
Now kettle is boiling izzy is asleep and my legs seemed to have seized up.
Did we find the canal

Well good morning from a very wet and windy Stocky 

I came home a day early as I didn't fancy Woodhead and the wind.
It scared me going with the pea soup fog.

Coming home thought I would go 619 to Chesterfield then to Chapel En Frith then home

So why does my Sat Nav always want to send me over hill and Dale and not keep me to main roads?

Also my window screen wiper was not wiping my windows properly  so decided to call and get new ones on the way home. Trouble is the rubber thingy that wipes the window decided to detach itself nearly. Glad I wasn't coming over Woodhead

Same weather here as well, must clean out the MH after our last trip, longish grass recently cut is a nuisance treading it into the pile of the carpet, almost impossible to get it out again, major operation.  Any ideas on what's best on the floor and still warm to the feet?

nice bright sunny start here, electrics now finally sorted hopefully 3rd time lucky!
Cal try getting hold of some carpet runners 5 or 6' & lay them over the existing carpet easier to take out & clean!

Good idea Mark, I'll get a piece in the next day or so, I hate the mess, it sticks on your socks and jams everywhere.

Thanks Mark, they look ideal and so cheap, first I'll look in the local carpet shop and see what he has there, last time I went in he gave me a couple of samples which were great in front of the sink in the bathroom and one at the entrance, quick knock on the wheel and grass just fell off.

Hospital appointment today -3 monthly appointment that has taken 4 days short of 6 months -well done the NHS- and that was after I had phoned ( several time and left messages)got no response and so went back to my doctor wasting his time !!  

About time Pete, lets hope you finally get some results!

Don't tell everyone but it's not raining shhhhhhh

After all that didn't get to see consultant but his registrar - will now get an appointment for an angiogram - stents and cameras up the arteries! - sounds fun - not !
They still didn't have results of one test I did in January !

God bless the dysfunctional NHS.

Peter a strongly worded letter to the hospital trust usually works.  Telephone calls to find out when your next appointment is and why it is taking so long etc etc have all worked for our family.  My Mother was hobbling round with a broken hip for fourteen months and it would have been longer if I hadn't persisted making a nuisance of myself.  Its how the system works. 
If you don't go and see relatives in hospital they are ignored because the NHS believes no one cares for them.  Sad but true.
