Southern heatwave in July!

So if you fancy some great weather head south, luckily we're already here!

Mmm thunderstorms here Mark and more rain than the drains can cope with.  Hoping for sunshine tomorrow though.

Fandabadozy weather forecast for Costa del Southport next week, just like being back in La belle france (I wish)

Here in North Yorkshire we haven't seen any significant rain for over a month.
Any body else shout at the television when the the forecasters say 19 degs is hot for the time of year. In the 19 70s and 80s Colin and I always took our holidays at the beginning of July and had scorching weather 20 degs was cool.

Yes cheryl, the further south the hotter it will be apparently 27 by the weekend!!!

Went to the Great Yorkshire Show yesterday and the sun shone all day. It was a scorcher. Unfortunately the paramedics and ambulances were very busy attending patients severely affected by the heat. I carry a bottle of water which we can drink to keep hydrated.

But still not as hot as the south Joice!, according to the papers.

I don't trust what the papers say Mark

i went to play golf yesterday,the forecast on tue night for rainhill{where the golf course is}was sunshine,no clouds,no wind,
reality was....cloudy,very windy,no sunshine,

they cant predict 24rs ahead so all the bull they tell you to keep you happy is working then.

Can you remember the television advert where the weather forecaster said it would be very bad weather just to keep the traffic off the roads so he could road test his new car without hindrance?
In my mind that is the truth behind weather forecasts - keep the traffic off the roads.

Don't know Polly. The rivers are very shallow here so water short age panic shouldn't be long.

Well I think we had better return to the UK as it's like the middle of winter here (Northern France), even worse than yesterday!!

Hi Mel, yes as I am watching the TDF and the weather over the last two days has been horrible, so pleased we came home when we did.           UK
