Blinking Dometic fridge freezer

Flipping fridge has packed up, at least it has done it before we set off across the channel

I must admit, I'm not a big fan of 3-way fridges, and have opted to put a Waeco in my van. Hope you get sorted without a disaster to your purse.

What is it with these fridges, there not lasting more than a few year!

I know a story with ours, there is a little tiny plastic container for condensate and I assume it is supposed to evaporate away but get some wet weather in Todmorden  and it overflows right into the electrics........doh designers. The good news after three days with a hair drier it seems to have started working again so hopefully a cheap repair. I have now put an overflow pipe onto the tank so really is worth looking if your tank is placed right over the electrics

We had one of those wee pipes that filled a plastic container which was suppose to let the condensation evaporate but I had to sponge it out regularly to make sure it worked properly, so in the end I extended the drain pipe through the floor at the rear of the fridge with a small bore tube and let it evaporate through that, seemed to work as we never had any problems from the fridge.
