That £40 offcut of Wilton is working out nicely. Bedroom finished, cab to do but going to leave the kitchen as is as it is high traffic and matches anyway.

Having done the bedroom and toilet it only left the lounge to finish the project. This is how the original looked with a crappy piece of wood inlaid between habitation and cab floor, this always gave underfoot due to lack of support. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] So the first job was to strip this out completely and add a batten to support the infill. Here without support [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] Here with batten fitted [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] Then with infill securely refitted I lined the rest of the floor with 3.6mm ply which made everything the same level. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] I then took a considerable amount of time making a template from old wallpaper to mark out the new carpet exactly. Here fitted with trim on step edge and between lounge and cab. Thanks all Yes we have adopted a strict (not overboard) footwear regime However I've kept all the templates and could cut four new carpet section and fit in part of a day now. The top quality Wilton remnant was marked at £76 but when I asked them to unroll it and roll it widthways for my roof rack it was revealled that a full length strip was dirty so he knocked it down to £40 RESULT! at home it vacuumed off without trace. I have enough carpet left to cut another lounge piece in the event of a red wine disaster

I'm surprised that the beer storage went without comment [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
