it seems they are about to do more sites like portamao.and stop the free wildcamping.

portamao 55 euros a month,plus 2 euros a day electric 5 mins to the beach.

well reading that link,it seems to me that thats the way they are looking to go.

I think it is more the campsites complaining because the Algarve is now being overrun with Aires for less cost than the campsites and they are bitching about it, very much why we in the UK cannot get Aire type facilities because of the CC and the C&CC objecting.

Interesting situation, but it could take the Portuguese lawmakers many years to bring about the change that's so desperately needed ...
