Polly is that 11 volts on your leisure battery or on your engine battery?

After 238 miles both should have read at least 13v

Sounds as though the controller box has been incorrectly wired. Tyne Valley Motorhomes wired mine up incorrectly on present van when moving solar panel from the old van. Correct way is to connect battery wires to battery terminals on controller first so controller knows the battery volts. Then connect solar panel wires to panel terminals on controller box. If you don't know which are the battery or solar panel wires you need a multimeter to check. In my van the battery wires measured 11.9v and the solar panel wires measured 19v as the panel was charging nothing.

Not easy to detect from a distance but could be any number of things. First and easy is that you have a bad earth somewhere but could be something else. I guess your starting point is to take the leisure batteries off and charge them at home and see if they hold their charge.

I'd say it's blown.a.fuse, you should have inline fuses, check them

Hia Well
With his multimedia thingy he found that the battery seemed ok The fuse was ok But when he put his prods from his multimedia into the regulater solar panel holes it was showing a neg reading Then when he put them on the holes for the battery they showed positve reading
So he took the wires out of the solar panel holes on the reg and put his prods in again neg reading then he changed his prods round and got a pos reading
But when he put the prods on the wires to the battery on the regulater it showed a positive reading
So we left it till I found out more as he didn't want to change the wires round incase it all blew. As he didn't know He's not had dealings with solar panels
So I phoned Ken and he will have a look for me
So it continues
The wires are not back in the holes so now I am wondering if I can plug into the electric at home Or can I give it a run to top the lesuire battery's charge up as it was showing there is charge in the battery
Hope that helps
Sorry you will have to wait till the next instalment
But you never know when someone else might have the same problem and then we have helped out

Previous comments made before I heard you had the solar panel fitted a year or so ago.
Did your electrician put the solar panel wires direct to the multi-meter away from the controller? If so did he get a reading?

He put them in the holes and also took the wires out and did the wires and the holes seperately

Yes Joyce as Bob said wire to solar panel not in their right holes. So it as not worked from when it was fitted. Over the weekend the amp thingy showed 11 then went up to 12-13 then I even saw 14 never been there before Then I had 2 green lights Only ever he'd one green light that turned red because the battery was flat Then I had a flashing green light and when I looked on my instructions that meant my batteries were fully charged So now I am going to get loads and loads of gadgets to work on 12 v Yes I can here you out there groaning
