| Hi Polly, got mine off tinterweb, just under twenty quid. It's got remote control and I can have just about any colour I like. One tip though, its self sticking, so I used double sided sticky foam tape as it actually stays where you put it, otherwise it peels off. | |

| Hi Polly, LED's normally come on a reel of 5 metres, and are very easy to cut as they are marked at the cut points. You can get connector cables, but I found these to be not very reliable, so I chopped the connectors off and soldered them. With the remote control you can pick whatever colour takes your mood, but the white is not particularly white on the ones I have, so I ran a second set of bright white LED's along side the multicolour ones. I also needed two switches, one for each set, and I made up a plastic mount to mount them, so I reckon the whole thing has cost me under thirty quid. I am going to try to get to Bridlington for the last few days, so you can have a look see, and get a better idea. | |

| These are what I've got Polly, [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]but they haven't half put their prices up since I bought them think Ebay might be your friend now. If you buy a reel you will only get one controller so you could only control one strip if you cut it up. You could buy seperate strips of red, blue, white etc _________________ Keeping Leapys boat sailing [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] | |

| On these strips there are 3 mini led's for each led, a red, blue and a green, With all 3 colours on at once it gives you white _________________ Keeping Leapys boat sailing [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] | |

| Where are you putting them? 5050 are better light If you want to change colour then yes, each will need a controller, you will probably be better just buying 1m ones as a kit rather than buying a 5m one, cutting it up, soldering and then having to buy extra controllers ie these, but check Ebay out 1st, this place seems expensive now - [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]_________________ Keeping Leapys boat sailing [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] | |

| If its tucked away somewhere so you won't be touching them then waterproofing won't be required, if you could touch them while you are cleaning then you'll be better off with the waterpoofing, it's not just waterproof, the led's are open and easily damaged, if its been waterproofed they have a silicon seal over them to protect it and you can wipe it without damaging it. They are self adhesive but its not very good, I used clear silicone on the edge of mine, have heard of others using sone good double sided sticky tape _________________ Keeping Leapys boat sailing [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] | |

| Polly there were lots of earwigs in the event shelter at Brid. I sprayed the inside of van with bug killer several times whilst there. Haven't seen any earwigs in van since I came home. | |
