Update on this one, roadside at Marazion now has high curb installed full length and turned into a "cycle lane" all 100yds or so of it!!! (think the council are trying to hint at something!!!!). Charge per night down nr slipway to mount carpark £5 between 6p.m -8am (I think hrs correct). Well known "dogging" spot, and I don't meen the walkies type, watch out for me when it gets dark. lol!  lol!  wild camping 3581617570 NOT!!!! wild camping 372028940

Thanks Bob.
I really love these dark doggie nights!
Would dearly love to join you at one of the meets in the not so distant future, however a word that begins with "work" may need to be dealt with first, things very much in the air at the moment, so can't commit just yet as we need timings to work around (4 months in the motorhome Spring/Summer/Autumn/Winter?) but which one?????
I'll buy the first round. affraid

Hi Ken, it is with regret that I have to report you to the moderators for your unhealthy habit of following dogs on dark nights, and also for your foul language in using a four letter word as these are banned from the forum, the use of "W**K" in your post will send tremors down the spine in many of the older members which could result in flashbacks.

You will of course be forgiven if you promise to buy the 1st TWO rounds when we meet up for everyone over the age of 65yrs.

Yes of course we realise you youngsters need to acquire a few shekels to fund your lavish lifestyles, so we wait until you can afford to redeem your status as a member and hope to meet you both soon.

Regards and Love to Lin

Barb n Bob

I have now re-christened you......Bob the Barbarian Butcher, a.k.a. the Southport wallet strangler. You are without pity and your threatened actions could lead me to a permanent retirement......please!!!!!
Sick and tired of carrying the dog lead around at nights and asking policemen when questioned if they had seen my little puppy......
With regards to the ban from the forum, can I join the fivum and sixum if possible then?
Just realized TWO ROUNDS for EVERYONE over 65, who do you think I am, Bill Gates?
Babs should be commended on her considerable restraint

PostSubject: Marazion overnighting   wild camping I_icon_minitimeSun 20 Apr 2014 - 14:34

Just found out from parking attendant whilst out for a stroll in Marazion, Cornwall.
No more overnighting allowed any more nearby.
Dare I suggest that visitors to this end of Cornwall vote with their feet, Tintergel ( North Cornwall ) or Devon will make you very welcome.
I can never understand how these holiday places have no idea of the revenue they lose because of short sighted descision and lack of forethought.
Come September I'll be reading in the local papers about how bad a season they have had.......... Mad   Shocked

Most Tesco Supermarkets will let you park overnight, so long as you ask the Manager and you tuck in out of the way, we do this on a regular basis, and that goes for pubs as well, so long as you buy a meal or a couple of drinks, and the bonus is you have the use of their loo while the pub is open.  With the ever increasing costs of camp sites we are doing wild camping more and more. Smile

Some of them are quite ridiculous with their prices, not much cheaper than a cheap B&B.  Somebody said the other day that Serles in Hunstanton, Norfolk was £163 for three nights, don't know how true this is mind you.

We wanted a couple of nights at Brean, Somerset, last week as our daughter and the boys were at the John Fowler site, which doesn't take tourers and we were waiting for a part to come in at Highbridge Caravans.

Unity Farm, £31 no EHU.
Went up the road to Northam Farm, £13.75 a night with EHU whether I wanted it or not.
