| The Suzuki comes out as best buy but reading the test review is not convincing. I think the Mariner is a better machine being smoother & quieter http://www.mby.com/general/ultimate-2-5hp-outboard-test-40258/5

| Now home following stops to rest. Thank you Peter for arranging another successful meet. Sorry I couldn't say goodbye to everyone but didn't think you'd appreciate this cold. | |

| I've chosen this 3.5hp at 17kg same weight as it's 2.5 hp version http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/171011566001?_trksid=p2055119.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&clk_rvr_id=1062578505254&afsrc=1&rmvSB=true
Can I use it at Pugneys?
EDIT same seller is advertising that motor at THREE different prices ????????
Cheapest listing is £60 less http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/MARINER-MERCURY-3-5-hp-4-Stroke-Outboard-Engine-F-3-5hp-Motor-Boat-Short-Shaft/171116189777?_trksid=p2047675.c100005.m1851&_trkparms=aid%3D222007%26algo%3DSIC.MBE%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D35925%26meid%3D13fe4450bc8b4b4dbd1d66edb007782f%26pid%3D100005%26rk%3D1%26rkt%3D6%26sd%3D171011566001
I've chosen this boat unless anyone has better advice http://www.pro-rigmarine.com/sunsport-arib-boats/sunsport-arib-230-boat/prod_8587.html

| Glad you've all enjoyed yourselves...we couldn't attend as we're only just back from 8 weeks in S of F, and had to attack the jungle that used to be our garden, as well as clean the van etc..

Thanks Pete I was coming to that conclusion too but now I'm swayed to a sit on kayak as a more practical option. So the next step is to choose a good one followed by a project around roof mounting it

| Although a bit late in the day, Rita and I would like to add our thanks also to Pete, Pauline, and the rest of the gang of helpers, for a very enjoyable time at Bridlington. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves, and the company that we were in, old and new. We hope to see you all again, sometime soon. Cheers for now, Jock & Rita. | |
