Batten down the Christmas hatches. Eva's coming

We must have been naughty as Storm Eva is due to hit over the Christmas period causing more flooding and travel disruption.  My thoughts go out to all affected by yet more floods.

Stay safe everybody and have a Happy Christmas.

Looks like another wet draughty run down the M6 tomorrow for me.

And for Barb n me also Debbie, off to spend Christmas with the family in Ashby de la Zouch so its the M6 for us, not looking forward to the drive or the weather.

It can do what it wants for me now until the 4th of January

My thoughts go out to those who's homes and businesses have been flooded.  Hope all Motorhomers are safe.
I think it is in poor taste that television adverts are still requesting money for charities other than helping our people who have been made homeless at Christmas through the horrendous floods. Just my opinion.

My thoughts exactly Joyce, not against a bit of foreign charity, but it does start at home or should do.

So the government need to do something.
Ok they did give something (I think) 
But more should be put into the areas 
To help the residents

We have nothing further to fear, Mr Cameron today chaired a meeting g of the COBRA COMMITEE,  
 Tomorrow I return home after being trapped by the floods at a friend's house, luckily she was able to be taken for her dialysis, and the floods didn't reach her house.

I see Frank is now on his way lol

Just seen it, Storm Frank heading for the northwest, god help us.

I am disappointed with the new begging advert on tv when we have so many people in this country made homeless, losing all their possessions, because of the floods and more to come.  Where is all the help other countries receive when they have floods and disasters.  I know a family affected at York so feeling a bit raw.

Know what you mean Joyce, one just been on asking for £3 for water and for every donation the government will match it

Hope it doesn't come over Frank, your quite a bit lower than the canal as well

its ok i sleep upstairs and margaret downstairs,but shes a good swimmer.
i might end up with a boat{salvage rights}

Keep the gates open, hopefully it will go past the house and onto the road rather than going in the house

Frank have the leccy people done nothing about protecting the sub station ? If that fills with water you the whole village will be without electric, if they do anything see if you can protect that stretch of bank alongside your properties

they are releasing the water from the canal further down,so cant see any problems now.

Frank has had a p*ss so all is OK now
