The floor severely delaminated from front to back. Worst they have seen. When we delivered motorhome to Autotrail in middle of January I asked for a damp certificate on completion of their work. Thank goodness I did - up to 90% damp for up to a foot from bottom of habitation walls. So left motorhome there. Even the foreman says it shouldn't have happened on a eighteen month old van. It's as though it's been sat in a flood. At least once the factory have repaired it should be ok. Will make sure I get a damp certificate that no one can argue with.
Good news is I ordered another make motorhome last October and just waiting for delivery date.

That sounds like a typical Autotrail. We had floor delamination plus a load of other serious faults on ours over the first couple of years. Then when we part ex'd it last year they discovered ours was riddled with damp. What new van have you ordered?

A make I have been watching for years Jan.
In October I was only changing because the present layout was becoming difficult for me at night, especially when Colin came with me, because of osteoarthritis in my knees, hips and hands. So I have chosen a layout with two single beds which will be readily made up. Bit disappointed to be losing the independent gas heater but every motorhome has a compromise.

Thats strange we did the same, changed to a Burstner last year with 2 single beds and they work really well. My OA also causes me problems but mainly in my thumb.

Pleased to hear the single beds help Jan. Looking forward to taking delivery of new motorhome now. Its the waiting I don't like makes you wonder if you've done the right thing. Deep down I know I have Especially now I have had all the problems with this one.
Keep saying to Dr that I don't mind getting older its the suitcase of health problems that come with age.

Been to Grimsby today to collect the Autotrail.
The reason why the floor delaminated and the walls were damp is because of the supplying dealer!!
When I ordered the motorhome the dealer offered to transfer my solar panel from my old motorhome to the new one. In doing so the fitter only sealed two thirds of the hole where the wires went through!! All the rain we have had has leaked through the said hole into the walls and if I understood the foreman, transferred to the floor.
I saw the job sheet today and I believe the dealer is being billed for all the repairs Autotrail have carried out to my motorhome. What an expensive mistake for the sake of a small amount of silkaflex [is that the right name].
