I've had both makes. Bessacarr is Swift made. My choice would be Autotrail. Will post why later.

Swift management has changed since I had the Swift motorhomes. I had two Kontikis and a Voyager. Was sorry to see the second Kontiki go and the Voyager was nothing but trouble with power issues and the heating system. It did not have a separate fire just a boiler under the rear seat that was difficult to reach. The Voyager had to have a new habitation door under warranty. But other issues under the warranty were not addressed by Swift even though I wrote a letter of complaint to them direct. The dealer was very supportive but after two years the Voyager was gone px for my first Autotrail. Swift were on Motorhomefacts but as the posts were getting heated they opened a forum of their own [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] which you have to login to join. I haven't used the forum for a long time but when I did the posts were also heated. Personally I didn't find Swift approachable customer service wise.
The Autotrail you are looking at and the 700 have a separate fire which is very efficient. I had damp in the first Autotrail in the dinette behind the drivers seat but the dealer and Autotrail dealt with the issue very quickly. I know it shouldn't have been damp, but it was in the region of the exterior battery box and I think that was the problem as later models did away with this. Read my post regarding this Autotrail which has been an absolute nightmare - but - praise for first class service from Autotrail. The problem was the fault of the dealer near Stanley Co. Durham. I understand they have had to pay for the repairs which I think is five figures! Autotrail have issued a damp certificate stating the van is dry and I don't think I can better than that. If it wasn't a case that I am now struggling to use some areas of the 700 because of my arthritis I would have kept it but am expecting delivery of another make of van in the future which I hope meets my needs. I find Autotrail very approachable through there customer service management team. I dealt with Richard who was new to the job but anything he wasn't sure of he asked another member of the team. When we were wiring up the solar panel on the last Autotrail we weren't sure how to run them to the batteries. A quick call to the Autotrail technical team and problem solved.
So there is the reason for my choice between your two motorhomes. But which ever one you chose have a damp check done before you finally decide. Also ask for an independent 12 month MOT test as part of the deal.
