What can one say but wish I could get my hands on the dipstick(sorry can't use the swear words I'd like to use) that caused our George to crash . I spent the good part of the day with George at A&E to just get his knee checked out. They were brilliant even though waiting was long but thank goodness for phones and iPad to keep us amused. After the practise nurse proded and poked his knee , she sent him for X ray, then talked through what it showed Anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) injury So he is now booked in to see Consultant on Monday
Our George is so committed to his MotoX . He goes/ went to the gym every evening, he cycles he keeps fit. Now he will be out of it all for the time being . Will know more after next week but could be out for 12 months. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr 12 months is a long time out of his sport
everything was going so well Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

After visiting A&E we were told it was his Anteria Crutial Ligerment or whatever its called. We got an appointment for last Monday at 2-20' We arrived after paying our £6.50 for 2 to 4 hours stay. Grrrrrrr Anyway outpatients was busy we managed to find a couple of seats. Heard someone telling someone they had been waiting 1 1/2 hours grrrrr But not to worry phones, I pad and car park paid for. Well within 15 minutes we were called in. Doctor was lovely he explained his ACL was stretched but still intact. BUT a bone was broke and needed reattaching. So off we went for George to have a CT scan. 5 minute wait there and he was in and out. Waiting for us was the Truama nurse who told us he was to come in on Thursday at 7 am ready for a op, depending on what the consultant says as he wasn't there till Thursday. All done and dusted by 3 .00 felt like royalty all was set up and fell in place . Hope Thursday all is ok
Oh and our George is buzzing as he could be back on his bike in 12 months

Still feel as though we are the only ones in the world. Operation as gone well. Hiccup as first screw wouldn't ? Our lovely doc screwed another hole and attached the bone with another screw ( so if I'm short of a screw I know where there is a spare one) In painrest of day and evening and groggy Awaiting Physio so we will see tomorrow. But he is OK

Well our George is on is way to Bwral. Highlands When I found it on the map I said he could catch a ferry over to Orkney a small he's only a fcouple of miles away from the ferry port He's going on a training few days with his coach (Soundsgood) I thought he just got on the bike and rode it But there's more to it than that. Hthey are there for a couple of days then go to Tain Glad they are staying over on the way up tonight . Think he's back Tuesday. And all these years of pinching an odd day off here and there from school, he now as official leave of absence. Would have made life a lot easier if he could have had these before. England tracks are hit and miss in this weather. But Tain is suppose to be good. Pat his coach as been up a few times in the last few months
So there you go upto date

| IHia PRESTON DOCK MOTORCROSS I went just for Saturday and had a GREAT TIME so went back Sunday. Watching the big boys go for it really gets the heart going. Lots of can't look moments. Weather was kind dry but was a cold wind on Sunday. Shame weather as been so bad as the fieldwas not really used so didn't see any exhibits , no stalls etc . But the vans and motorhomes etc were parked on the go cart track so they were on hardstanding. I had to park on the lane to the MX so my car didn't get muddy Saturday George got a first in practise so set his mind in the right place. He had a couple of falls but he pulled back. The top 4 were really going for it. George got. 3rd overall and we are so pleased and only 1 point difference. It was BRILLIANT NEXT ONE IS Callum Oxfordshire , but I can't make that so looks like my next one is Duns [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] | |

| Hia Our George as had a Maxxis down at Fradden the other week running 3rd overall This weekend British Youth Nationals at Culham
Well after having a terrible first race due to his wheel George Came away with 3rd Overall BRILLIANT 1st race. 9th 2nd race 1st 3rd race. 2nd 4th race 1st
OVERALL 3rd When they add up the points Think he would have been looking maybe at a 1st or 2nd if his wheel had been ok But 3rd is good
So BYN 1st round 3rd BYN 2nd Round 3rd
Maxxis. Running 3rd 2018 looks good for our George

Little write up from Bridgestone
The Bridgestone British Mx Masters Round 3 Preston Docks
There was plenty of high-octane motocross action In the SMPro MXY2 Youth Class, wild card George Simmutch was on fire and won all four races over the weekend. George rode faultlessly which gained him the maximum points total of 180. SRH Racing’s Rory Jones scored Second overall for the weekend and finished with 168 points. Sam Ongley was on form and managed a well-deserved third place overall with 162 points.
