Motor-Homers Xmas Meet, 12th to 16th Dec 2013

First topic message reminder :

Finding venues for the Xmas period, with electric, hard standing, a function room, restaurant and a place big enough for a good sized meet are hard to find, we have managed to get a centrally located site at
Donington Park Farmhouse Hotel
Melbourne Road
Isley Walton
Castle Donington
Derbyshire
DE74 2RN

Your Marshals for this meet will be - The Motor-Homers Committee
Dates booked are 12th to 15th December 2013 for 4 nights (leave site on the 16th December)
Price per van per night is £7.50 + £4 per night for EHU
We have a function room booked for Friday the 13th December.
We plan on having a meal on Saturday the 14th at 18:00

Hi all

Just to summarise arrangements so far

We would appreciate donations both for the raffle and mulled wine, all proceed will go into club funds.

We will be holding a Secret Santa - presents with the maximum value of £2 - wrapped and marked as suitable for male or female - one for each taking part

There will be a best lit unit competition (small prize)- judged on Saturday evening


Programme of events

Thursday 12th
Units arrive and settle in - please meet and chat to friends old and new

Friday 13th
12:00 -1:00pm Soup and roll - donation of £1 per couple for club funds appreciated
7.30pm Social gathering in hall - wine and mince pie on arrival. Games and music to follow
Raffle tickets on sale and raffle draw about 10.00pm

Saturday 14th
2.00pm prompt AGM -Please support our first meeting and come and express your views and provide suggestions for future activities
Followed by short Committee meeting



Evening 6.00pm Christmas dinner- followed by Secret Santa and music

Sunday 11.00am Coffee and Christmas cake. Please pay the balance of your rally fees

that room looks really COLD.i dont think they have a restraunt.i was looking forward to nice big steaks before my new years resolution{i am becomming a vegertarian:affraid:}i hope i am wrong and the meals served in the hotel are open to the public,and not just hotel guests.

they have sent me the menu,its a basic pub type menu.but you can reserve a table in the hotel restraunt for you and your beloved ,but dont foget to bring your bank manager with you. .

polly its not bad, the prices in the bar are just above average.
and there is always marks and spencers individual pies worth every penny and simply the best i have tasted.well the beef 1 was, not had the chicken yet.

Same here Baza, my right foot is itching like mad and desperate to get away but unfortunately with the doctors, dentist, hospital and hairdressers   the beginning of December is fully booked.

Soon be here then four weeks at home then away to the   for a couple of months, cannot come quick enough although at our age we should not be wishing our lives away

Your lucky , I dont mind Mr Tumble  we have had  non stop  Peppa Pig , god would I like to turn that lot into bacon 

Is it me or dont all them pigs in Peppa pig have 4  eyes , 2 when facing right and 2 when facing left:)

Had an appointment this morning and depending on the outcome 

I might have had to cancel this meet

But the good news for me ( maybe not you) is I will be with you to celebrate Christmas
