| Polly, I to had a great time at the XMAS meet. Looking forward to the next meet, wherever that will be. Haven, Parkdean, etc do some good deals off peak, IE £8 a night. Trouble is I couldn't organise a pi$$ up in a brewery. I rely on on people like yourself. to do the arranging. We should be using the vans in the darker months, just to keep things ticking over. | |

| Hi Polly, I think one of the problems with motor-homers is that it is free to join. People new to motorhoming are browsing the web looking for information and stumble across motor-homers, see that it’s free to join and sign up. A few weeks later they have forgotten all about us. Looking at the membership there are 1006 and without going through all the list I would say about 10% are active members and I may have been generous with that figure. So in answer to your question “why do silent members not post” They don’t post because they are silent. | |

| Hi Polly and ALL following this thread. Whe n we joined we were silent and didn't attend meets. We popped into the website now and then but didn't really know how to use the site plus at that time it didn't look a very active. site. . As time went on I learnt how to post etc we love attending the small meets and the friendly atmosphere Amanda is very relaxed around you all which is fantastic. We thoroughly enjoyed Christmas meet had a great time. Some web sites have a cull think that's what it's called were they sieve out the members that havnt been active for a long time an email is sent asking if they still want to be members if not then they are removed.

| Hi Polly, i had a great time at the Christmas meet, i have really enjoyed all of the meets I've been to and i am more than willing to help out any way that i can, OK i promised to improve with the Bingo Calling! as Ken says work does get in the way of our leisure time and i don't like to commit to something then let people down. As for posting on the forum, well i guess I'm just a little shy.... i do like to keep an eye on whats going on though.
Thanks everyone for a lovely weekend, can't wait for the next.

| Hi Polly, From being very active in the original group by posting on the website & attending meets I must admit you dont hear from us very often these days. Living in Bedfordshire makes it difficult for us to attend meets unless we are going to be in the vicinity for another trip. I think as well after being involved in clubs and committees for most of my adult life i have got to the stage where I dont want to anymore and I just enjoy meeting up with individuals these days.

| Because of personal family circumstances I haven't been able to attend any meets this year or spent much time on the forum.
I am hoping 2019 will be kinder to us and have put my name down for the Bridlington meet. As I have often said I do not venture out with the motorhome over bank holiday weekends. | |

| Guilty of not posting much of late, just been busy with other stuff, but try to get to as many meets as possible. Will be doing some alterations to my van next year and will post about that. So a merry Christmas to every one and all the best for 2019 | |

| Nah just altering some bits that aren't quite working right, like when the wind blows on the offside of the vehicle, it blows the fire out, it is fitted to spec, but the specs were changed and now the fires sit on a sealed from the inside airbox. It still has the original air intake and gas drop out hole. Easy job to do but time consuming. The gas cupboard, I will re-orientate and shrink, combined with a lot of the side door space panelled out, thus creating a bit more room and getting rid of a cold spot that you get with sliding doors. | |

| We too have been been silent this year mainly due to Julie's parents ill health and moving to Devon. This must be the first year that we've hardly used our van. As some of you are aware over the years we have contributed on the forum, been Mr Chairman and even held rallies in Bournemouth for the airshow. But living in the south we find it hard to attend the meets and get to know our fellow members. | |
