Weather nowadays is hit and miss and Sept could end up being the new summer. So no matter when a meet is arranged for between June and Sept nothing is guaranteed.
If members want Brid to take place in June I will cancel Bakewell. BUT Bakewell Agriculture have had a bad year this year like everyone. So I think they will be aiming for a full calendar, eg, Shows and Caravanning meets and whatever they do . So no rebooking for another date.
I can’t understand why the Brid people have not given Motor-Homers first choice for next year, seeing we have it every year at this time.

Neither can I Polly. Especially when we continued with our meet early in July just after campsites were allowed to open. We could have cancelled under the circumstances and the Regatta field would have lost more money. The money we paid for hire of the field was not to be sneezed at.

I wouldn't dream of asking Polly to cancel Bakewell 🥺 Now I might be wrong but my thoughts about RYYC are they have lost a lot of money this year and will be trying to maximise their income from now on, he took so long in getting back to me, I think he might have been contacting his other regulars to see what dates they wanted, take for example all the C&CC meets the, all the MCC meets there, they will take 100 vans compared to our 20 or 30, that's a big difference in income
Should we try two on the same dates?

My vote is to go to Bridlington in may. The problem is at the moment, groups have been turned away from schools, and some of the large club sub groupes have started booking 2 years in advance to steel good venues. Maybe they are not to keen on stagger over 3 weeks (2 weekends) ?
