| Sorry to hear that Baza, we just been down town to go in Asda but the queue just to get on the carpark was over 500mts long so we went for a walk along the pier instead, much more relaxing even in the howling wind. As you can see there all in ruddy Asda. Hope there is not to much damage mate. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] | |

| Just had car delivered back to us this afternoon, 3 weeks to mend that little scratch. On inspecting it Rina said that side is not the same shape as the otherside , yep there is a definite crease , I refused to sign the acceptance note and sent the man away . Spoke to my insurance company Aviva and they said that normally it is best to send it back to the same company to rectify , but as you have no faith in them . we will send an engineer to look at the car and arrange to have it put right somewhere else. I then went to move the car from where they had left it to where it is normally parked and the brake pedal nearly hit the floor , I had to pump to get brake .
Just thought I would warn anyone who was having work done by

| Decided against Tom or his stunt double driving in to a wall Aviva engineer came today and agreed with us and that it was not acceptable , he even found a couple of other faults we hadn't noticed , we might have done if we had opened the passenger door at night ,the courtesy light would not have gone on ,cos they have forgotten to fit the door switch back. He said of the " crease/line" should not be there unless they had fitted a damaged quarter panel , it is more likely that they have repaired the panel(badly) and just charged for a new panel . He said he would go away and arrange for the work to be rectified and suggested a Citroen Main agent with its own bodyshop he recommends . Within 2 hours I had a call from the manager at the Citroen garage , they will collect the car from us first thing in the morning . We await the outcome of it all | |

| Guess Bloody what ? exactly the same thing happened to me yesterday in Tesco's car park at Chelmsford, more or less the same amount of damage as well ? reported it to our insurers today wait and see what will happen. - grandadbaza wrote:

| Up my stress levels ? Ha Ha, just spent 1.5 hours on the phone with some coffin chasers only to be told that they couldn't deal with the recovery of my excess because I didn't need a hire car, because I already have a second car that I can use.

| I made the claim on the phone to Aviva claim line , when I gave him all the details of the accident and the other drivers details , he said he would confirm all I had told him via email , about an hour later I got the email and in it ,it said "From the information you have been able to provide, on this occasion we have waived your policy excess and it will not be payable for this incident.
When JCClinic returned it I didnt have anything to pay . And I didn't have an hire car either

| Hopefully the same may happen to me when they pick the car up ? but I won't hold my breath ?
The problems seem to be if you don't take the legal protection policy with the same insurance company.
I was told that as I hadn't taken it our with my policy renewal they could put me through to this company that would deal with the claim and a hire car and the policy excess however when they went through the conditions and I told them I had use of a second car they said they wouldn't be able to deal with the claim ?,
I went back to my insurance company and to be fair they said I will get a free hire car from the repairers and my existing insurance policy will cover it so no additional costs or CDW etc. but I would have to try and recover my Policy Excess direct and they said they will provide me with the address to send it too.
Its not really a problem now I know the system, as I have Legal Protection Via the CSMA who I have spoken too and they have said they will provide Legal cover should I need it.
Let hope the repairs go according to plan

Yes I hope yours goes smoother than mine The other garage collected mine today , they were less than impressed with the standard of work , he said it looks like someone had done it a barrow job ,and even picked out more faults with the job than I had seen | |
