| I have put this in the 2013 meets section because we have had quite a bit of interest in it, please remember though that it is a C&CC rally, not a Motor-Homers rally.
Kettlewell Scarecrow Festival 16/17th Aug 2013 The festival is open from the 10th to the 18th
We come across this festival about 10 year ago whilst just driving round that area one weekend, see the car park full so we went in to see what was going on - as you do! I think i would put this down as one of the nicest villages I have ever walked round, the scarecrow festival is good too, every house joins in, there are scarecrows made up of anyone like the queen, celebs, animals, and some are really funny, you have to look hard for some of them, they aren't all in the gardens or doorways. I tried to get this as a rally for us but the site in the village only had 3 available places. I then got a number for someone with a field, turns out C&CC Huddersfield DA have this booked as a temporary holiday site from the 2nd to the 18th Aug so we will be going with them, if you want to join us though, just add your names here in the usual way and I will contact them and see if its possible for us all to be parked together.
This is a C&CC rally Price is £7.50 per night - YOU MUST BE A MEMBER OF C&CC The fields we will be on are on the right in THIS picture, as you can see it's right on the edge of the village, couple of pubs, cafes ETC all within walking distance
Edit - I am having to set a deadline on this if anyone wants to join us. You need to add your name to the list by the end of June as I have to contact them then with names, registration numbers, C&CC membership number and a one night deposit per van. _________________ Keeping Leapys boat sailing [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

| Just got in touch with the person who is running this and there is no problem, I have reserved 10 places and I can book you all in and we can park together. She has spoken to the C&CC rally officer and they said, because we are booking so many places they would like me to supply names, registration numbers, membership number and 1 nights deposit for each van. We don't need to do this straight away, she is going to keep in touch with me, I told her I already had 7 names down. Once it gets to 10 she would then like all these details and a deposit, I can then add places one at a time if we need more. No need to send me any deposits, I'll pay it and collect it at Kettlewell, I will check with you all before I pay just to make sure you are still going.
Just a reminder YOU NEED TO BE A MEMBER OF C&CC TO GO TO THIS MEET
Edit UPDATE I have just been in contact with her again and we have agreed that we need to send details and a deposit by the end of June.
So, I am having to set a deadline on this if anyone wants to join us. You need to add your name to the list by the end of June as I have to contact them then with names, registration numbers, C&CC membership number and a one night deposit per van.

| Yes at least a hundred or more, we have been to a scarecrow village before but nothing like this one so it is well worth coming too. We did the scarecrow quiz as well but although we got all the answers the final one has defeated us so will be interested if any Homers gets it. | |
