I know what you mean about a peaceful Europe, and I welcome it also.
But with the financial hardship in Greece and Spain etc. which is leading to the riots we saw last year doesn't bode well for the future unless some serious sharing of the burden is measured between all member states.
However, I'm sorry but I really can't see that happening any-time soon, as no one appears too want to pay off someone else's debt.
Europe appears to be in a bit of a good will bubble at the moment as the political reterrick appears to be working very well and the media attention has been turned, however I'm not sure just how long that will last as the heavy borrowings by some of these countries still need to be repaid, and I have a feeling the media honeymoon may not last to long
