i was quoted 484 but when i went i asked for his best price and he dropped 85pound happy days.

Were they the Continental Camping tyres ?

That's a good price for camping Tyres just a pity they aren't nearer, can you mix Continental and Michelin

They charge £2.99 per tyre delivery , fitting is usually under £10 per tyre

That's not bad deal, I just don't really want the hassle of having to arrange things, I would rather have just driven to there depot and let them get on with it ? but thanks for the link as it gives me a negotiating position for someone local.

I have read so many threads over the years on the benefits, or not, of camping tyres, that all seem to resort down to the money, and I just think to myself if money was a major factor, why wouldn't the motorhome manufacturers take advantage of it.

If the motorhome manufacturers changed from Camping tyres to normal van tyres they would save them millions over the years, and lets be fair when you look at some of things they do they certainly do know the value of a £pound which can be seen in the way they try to scrimp on the build to save money, why don't they do it with tyres.

I have never received a satisfactory answer to the above question, therefore for the sake of a few quid I follow what the motorhome manufacturers put on the vehicle as new.

haha,no andy i am pleased with the price,whatever way they finally come to the deal price dosent bother me,i only have to go up the road if i have any problems,and a little bonus was there was a bookies across the road,where i spent a nice hour,with a very tidy profit.

Price is OK but you do realise they're van tyres? not camping
