| Hi,
Been having problems with the bedroom TV it would stay on standby (red light) with no apparent problems, but every so often when i turned it on it would start and then more or less immediately go completely off, if I turned it on and off at the plug, it would work fine and other times I would have to go through the same process 2 or 3 times, before it would stay on.
I have now found the problem, it was the screw on the live terminal in the 13 amp plug was lose, well actually I don't think it had ever been tightened down on to the cable, I tightened all the screws and now its working fine.
Just thought I would mention it as you never know someone else may have a similar problem.
Hope that helps |

| Hi, It was fitted buy the manufacturers, and it isn't a moulded sealed unit and its a LED 32 inch TV we only purchased band new 5 months ago.
I think the main point I was making was that the screws in plugs that may of been fitted by others or by yourself are worth double checking if the item starts to play up.

| Sounds like a euro plug has been cut off and Uk fitted, maybe at the factory or the seller | |

| Hi, It doesn't really matter who fitted it, it was the point that if you get a similar problem its worth checking the plug, before you perhaps commit to a more expensive repair. |
