| To the members of Motor-Homers. Many of you would like answers to certain questions relating to the resignations of the committee from other web site based forums. This decision where the whole of the committee would resign and also myself as acting chairman was done after careful consideration. I on behalf of the committee, had been in contact with the site owner and domain name holder. (one and the same person) The crux of the matter was in the committes opinion, that the owner and administer who was not a committee member wanted to make certain decisions outside the boundries of his authority, without the committes approval. The committee then asked me to enter into a period of negotiation with the owner regarding ownership of the site, an offer of three hundred pounds was made to buy the site in its entirity but this was rejected, and then clearly stated as a reply that "I am Motorroamers and I will never sell it", at no time did we mention or plan on using club funds for the purchase. As the committee members felt this was not correct, and the site should belong to the members, they all voted to resign, as per the slurs against certain members being made. The disbanded committee of the said site, fully support Peter. The money from that forum is held in the bank, the only reason it is not accessible is that it needs two signatures to release it, once a new committee is formed the funds will then become available. On behalf of its members, all documentation has been returned to the bank waiting for a formation of a new committee. No new committee has been identified. However the back up information is incomplete as there have been many requests and finally a Recorded delivery letter requesting vouchers and income relating to the web forum, administration costs and advertising so officical completion of accounts could not be made As the chairman of Motor homers I proposed to the committee not to openly discuss this, with its new members of Motor-Homers, as there cannot be an open debate on this site regarding this matter. And I ask all new members to support the committee in this position. Every one now will be able to make their own opinion over this break away. | |

| "owner and administer who was not a committee member wanted to make certain decisions outside the boundries of his authority"
doesn't make any sense....who are a committee to dictate to this said person? if everything was his then "owner" as you clearly state then surely he runs the show does he not? hence his actions in setting it up a different way and attempting to resolve the matter, not that i'm taking sides, its just how it all read yesterday...

| May I just say as one the people heavily involved in setting up Motorroamers over 2 years ago that Adam (Admin) wanted absolutely nothing to do with the running of the site as he was webmaster and made this very clear. Zoe wanted the site set up to be run by a committee and not just 1 person and this was how it was run fairly successfully until earlier this year when Zoe lost interest. | |

| I dont know the workings Elldwin of what or how it was set up i am only responding to what i have seen written...i'm sorry if I offended....so are you basically saying "everything revolved around zoe?" but surely it was a comittee...which does not consist of just one party, does it?

| You haven't offended me but I just feel some of the facts have been muddied. Zoe was the rally officer and very involved in all the rallies but although she initiated the site set up with Adam as webmaster she wanted a committee to run it which is what happened. I must also say that all the Roamers ex committee members have been trying extremely hard over the last few months to keep the site going but it has gradually deteriorated and I am sure they are just as sad as I am this has happened. | |

| I think the statement "I am motorroamers" says it all for me. Hence not a democracy at all. I fully support Peter and all concerned | |

| I agree with Andy , the most significant phrase spoken on the Roamers site recently is "I am motorroamers". When I joined I thought it was a members club run by members for members ,I didn't realize it was one persons baby

| Well unfortunately despite a considerable number of registered members all the active ones are here now so sadly roamers will stagnate completely | |
