Must have food to take to Spain

Just wondered what every ones idea is of a must have food to take to France and Spain that they cant get over there
Think top of my list is sausages and bacon

We try to take mainly dry goods which tend to be cheaper here and obviously last the duration. It also depends on what you like to eat, we generally tend to eat what most supermarkets sell and shop every 2 or 3 days.

Hi, we never take any food as we like to follow the old saying "When in Rome do as the Romans do" it also helps the local economy

Yeah but were not going to Rome ,that's in Italy I care about as much for foregners economy as they do for ours , they don't give a toss just bleed our benefit system dry

Naan Bread, impossible in Spain n France, Barbs bacon i love the spanish stuff but Barb does not, good baked beans, chillies are rare, tinned Salmon is expensive but fresh not bad, but all in all I eat what they eat (and Frank cooks ) but for the must have UK food there is an Iceland store in La Marina not far away.

a few jars of tahini,and my own spice mix.thats all..

Is that the special one you made up mr sanders

Do you use Aire's ? when traveling in Europe

Dont normally travel much in Europe ,but I have stopped on 1 aire in the past, why?

Aire's are normally provided by the people in the area, in the anticipation that users will spend money in the local economy,

The only time I stayed on an aire we walked into the village and spent 40 odd euro on food and drink , why are you a member of the Aire Police!!!

Oh and the Aire cost 5 euro

Yes I do care about being fair to people who provide free or cheap facilities for motor homers to use. You should read your earlier reply regarding forieners economy

I didnt ask for a lecture trying to make me feel bad about taking a few bits from home , in no way did I suggest I was having all my food for 6-8 weeks sent out from England by Tesco.
When I am away whether it home or abroad I support local economy ,by spending a lot of money on food ,drink and entertainment, I don't have to

tahini in the jar.

oh and a few cans of the black stuff,to help me on my way.
