Went out to the market this morning and then for lunch in Guardamar it was a pleasantl trip, came back on site a nd Frank n Marg had disappeared :-( don't know where they went but suspect Benidorm so maybe. Bump into them later when we move next Friday.

Walked along Altea seafront today, got a little burnt Embarassed .
Have just done a beautiful pasta dish with a jar of sun dried tomatoes that frank gave me last week...photo as promised,

Just got back from Altea market, got a gas splitter for hose to connect new bbq to the other to give me 3 burners Very Happy , also got a leather brim hat for €20 bargain!.
We all walked over 7 miles today. Embarassed

hi,we are as barbq said in benidorm,had a great few days,we are off to the old town tonight for a tapas feast followed by a trip to the jazz bar,Very Happy

we had a great night out last night,a wander around the old towns tapas bars,had some really nice tapas and a few vinos.

then onto the jazz bar/piano bar,great singers on there,then ended the night with a couple of brandy coffees in the raco bar.

the weather is not so good today,but theres a great bar right outside raco called home from home,the food is very good and the lager is 1 euro a pint.so it looks like a liquid day.Very Happy

Sounds like you had a great night Frank, we are at Calp and the weather is crap, floods everywhere and no let up until after the weekend, Portugal is the place to be at the moment.

Will move up north in a day or two and chase the sun.

Me & Eileen left Marjal last Thurs (18 Apr), we went round looking for for the rest of the MR's on the Wed night..no sign of life...shutters up, no drinking/talking/laughing, so we opened the bar back at ours for our final night. I called round to see if there was any life at 8.30 Thurs morning, I could hear some snoring, and would swear that Baza's van was rocking, but we were off!!
Good site, but you need transport to get to the shops. Best spa facilities we've come across.
Thurs afternoon we pitched up at the Marlofa la Joyosa(I think that's what it's called) which is a free camper stop just past Zaragosa. Water free electric, diesel at 1.27 / litre, approx 8 vans there, and 50 wagons! Excellent stop.
Fri was a hard drive, well the bit past Biarritz was, that saw us ending up at Mimizan Plage. Never seen it as busy, must've been 50 vans there. When we first went there (approx 12 yrs ago) you could spread out a bit, get your awning out, still have an ehu point, but since they marked out the lines everybody squashes up, and there's not enough hook ups for all there. Don't think we'll go back. 8 E/night with electrics,
barrier controlled.
Monday stayed at Marboue north of Poitiers. Nice stop, approx 12 vans there.
Tues onto Calais docks. Busy...30+ vans, nobody came for any money, but I think the Municipal site is shut, so is the Guardien not working?
The yacht basin was very busy, again 30+ vans.
Diesel at Coquelles Auchan was 1.29/litre.
Now at home, cold, raining, but it's just come a little brighter this afternoon.
We're going to do it all again next Feb !

Allen n Eileen, pleased you got home safe n sound n sorry we missed you leaving but we like you enjoyed the site at Crevillente with the same reservations.

Weather terrible here in Calp but it is like this all way through Spain's MED coast for the next few days, hopefully it will pick up again shortly, hope to see you both in the UK

it was tapas alley again for us yesterday.the busiest ive ever seen it{due to it being overcast}and there was a lot of competition going on,each bar touting for all the buisness,we had 10 oysters in the 1st bar with vino for 7euros:D.then we had a bowl of snails with vino 6 euros.Very Happy.in our next 3 we just had the free ham and bread you get with each drink.stroll along the prom to the wiki bar to listen to some good musicans.:Dits good to have a break from the sun sometimes:D

After early rain we gathered at Bazzas van for a drink and nibbles which led to a few drinks ,then a few more- don't ask Bazza about his oven door!!!!

We all went out to Barrios fiesta - a local Thai restaurant and had an enjoyable evening - stopped for coffee on sea front on way back . Weather could be much better - had more rain and wind overnight and cloudy and threatening now!!! Sad

we had a very good day yesterday,started off in the paladium,its like a social club with entertainment on all day,then to the wooky hollow a liverpool bar,then to churchills another liverpool bar and finally the red dog,a country and western bar/line dancing bar,then finished the night with a meal in the china garden{what a big improvement in the quality of food they served}it was very nice food{we will be back}

we have been invited to watch the filming of the series benidorm on tuesday not sure yet if we will go.we didnt know that the big pink house on the main road is used as the reception in the filming.there is a liverpool couple staying here on raco and they have been extras for every series,so they have been filling us in with all the ups and downs of what has gone on over the years.

the sun is out now.so time for a stroll along the prom.
