INFO FOR THOSE ATTENDING BAKEWELL 1stJUNE TO 8th 2023

Hi everyone , looking forward to seeing you all on the 1st June . At the moment we have 21 motor-homers who have posted and confirmed that they are attending . Thankyou so much .It makes life so much easier for the Marshals to get things into place and mark up the field . There maybe more places if anyone is interested as 9 on list still haven’t been in touch to say if they are coming or not .So if you’re interested please let us know . 

We are in field D that’s the first field on the right as you enter the Showground (see pic ) it’s usually the 2nd gate that you enter . 

We shall be ready from 10am to welcome you All[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]



We shall collect the camping money £13 per unit per night (please note ,showground is charging £12 for the camping & we are adding £1per night towards bins and other costs )from you once you have settled in usually on the 1st or 2nd day .
Could we please ask for money to be in an envelope with your name and the number of nights on the front of envelope. Thankyou .




A named Marshal on the day  will also collect the £1 rally fee for each attendee as this is to be kept separate and sent to Ken to help pay towards running motor-homers.

I spoke to the brewery and they can have 12 people at each tour . They don’t do concessions for a block group booking . They only take online bookings . So for those wanting to do the tour take a look at the link above. Those wanting to go together should book together . Bill is going to wait till we are at Bakewell to book to see who wants to tag along with him .The tour costs £15 person .No dogs allowed on tour but are allowed in the tap room .   It’s not far from the showground it’s just before the Aldi on the way out of Bakewell . See website . 

There is also  a very good tap room that do pizza at certain times and can be busy so if you do fancy a pizza they have said best book and order up front . 

You can cut through the town if walking . I’ll check if you can walk along the river . I know a few walked along river to Aldi last year . 

The farmers feast do a lovely Sunday lunch . It’s only a 5 min walk from where we are camped .

Scoobydoo1942 will be staying 1st june to 6th june thats 5 nights. Sorry if this is in the wrong place, I don't know how to use it properly.
