Just seen this petition calling the government to provide parking in the UK for motorhomes on Out and About.

Should anyone on here want to support it, here is a link:

When I was on, there was only 17 signatures. The word needs to be spread as I think they need 2,000 or is it 2 million to get it discussed. affraid

It needs 100,000 to be considered for debate, so it will never be discussed.

This sounds great...and reasonable price too. Not like money grabbing Bournemouth Council which advertised parking on the overcliff drive with no facilities for £20 a night a couple of years ago!  Sad

Looking at the comments here i wonder if stopovers were provided how many people would know about them and how often would they be used.I am always surprised at how many people do not go on forums(i/we think everyone does)As for the Dover Rd park and ride i have used it going out and coming back for the last 8 years (except the year i went to Ireland )its worth noting if you arrive on a sunday you cannot get in (happened to me but i just park outside). That will be the meet up point for me and Polly for Dusseldorf at the end of the month as she can find her way there Very Happy Very Happy

Agree with above post, we are very surprised how many MH owners do not read the MH forums. Missing out on lots of info.........

You also have to be at Caterbury before the buses stop running as you can't get in then either Sad
We know as we got there late and had to stop in the bus turning point Smile
Which was fine
