looking for somewhere pretty local to me (Accrington, Lancashire) within 30 or 40 mile will do for a 6 day break, don't want to travel too far with things as they are at the min, looking for somewhere within easy reach of a town, nice scenic place, do you know anywhere? In C&CC but not CC

I know it maybe a bit further than the 40 miles you stated but Bakewell fits your criteria.

If you are an age concession with CCC then theres the club site at Youlgreave just outside of Bakewell. The cost £2.85 per adult plus service pitch if you need electric.

We were there last week. Steve and Mick, the wardens, are friendly and very cheerful and the fish and chip van calls on Friday nights.

Now that's a thought, been there before and we enjoyed it even though it was covered in snow

Not a lot there
Stoll into village where there is good pubs and chippy
A cycle track you can walk down
Good. Pub sportsman 4 minutes from site dogs accepted think all pubs let dogs in so Max and Molly would be ok
Hills around site for walking up and down
