Venice, Sardinia and Corsica - Any advice / tips please

Hi all,

I'm starting to plan for my next winter tour of Europe and am thinking of heading to Venice via northern Italy, perhaps the lakes.

Then, after traversing back across to the west coast, I want to take a ferry Sardinia, then Corsica, and finally another ferry back to France.

Has anyone visited any of these places and do you have any advice or tips?

I've read some quite horrific things about Corsica on French motorhome websites. Wild camping there seems to be frowned upon, during the winter there are only 2 campsites open and one of them is a naturist site!
