Easter 2013 March 28th to 1st April

First topic message reminder :

We have found a nice centrally located venue for our Easter meet in 2013.
It is to be held at Peak Rail, Rowsley, Derbyshire,DE4 2LF
I have booked it for 4 nights, you can arrive on Thursday 28th March, and leave the site on the 1st April
Cost per van per night = £5 + VAT
Plus the usual £1 per person rally fee
No electric but there is water and an elsan point.

Should be there around 4-5 on Thursday no scenic route as I know where I am going
Have the grandson Thursday so will drop him off on route

Seems as you only like down the road from Peak Rail, I think you should get out with your snow shovel and some bags of grit, you have 6 days so no rush

A family of travellers illegally parked in Matlock Bath will not be evicted today, as planned, owing to the snow.

Derbyshire Dales District Council had served an eviction notice on the family to vacate the Coach Park at Matlock Bath Station earlier this week.

But a district council spokesperson said “it would not be appropriate” to force the family – who are soon to be offered a temporary traveller site at Old Station Close, Rowsley – to vacate the area in such bad weather conditions.

The family will now have until Tuesday to leave the site.

Think this is where we are in relation to where the travellers are maybe moving to, so we won't be on the same site - in case you were worried about over crowding,

I was here last year and it is the road to the refuse site and justbefore the bend to Into Rowsley or the opposite way after Rowsley round the bend and then it is a left to the refuse site and a minute down the road at the roundabout bear left down the bumpy road and then we go across the railway

I hope this snow has gone by Thursday or we wont be able to get off our drive (it is on a slope). Its quite thick here and by the look of the sky there is loads more to come.

Just to give warning, I have just been looking at the weather app on my phone and its predicting more snow on Wednesday here and at Matlock with temperatures overnight between -3 to -5 and daytime -2 to 0. With this in mind, we might not be attending this rally as there doesn't seem to be any point

We have just booked ourselves on to this site for another 3 days as we cant get off anyway and will make the final decision about the rally on Thursday.
