Hi Burchies.
We don't mind meets, but as you have most probably gathered from another thread, we are not particularly into sitting around in groups, or playing silly games, although sometimes we do
Can't sit around fire pits or charcoal BBQ's as it effects breathing
We mostly use our van abroad and would certainly call in for a few days, should a meet or rally be near to our proposed route
In fact to the south of France would be perfect, or maybe a large stelplatz field in Germany
Regarding the UK, as we are retired, we usually travel midweek therefore weekend or mid week is of no consequence, but we do prefer not to be on a busy site.
We now find that we do very little in the UK and when we do, we go for about one week. We usually don't plan when, and go when the weather suits us
The Ambleside location is a perfect one for us as everything is at hand, including an excellent bus service to other towns.
