What time of year do you want to attend rallies?

What are the main months that you attend rallies?
We are asking this because we have had to cancel one meet this year (Valentines) and we are not having a camping area reserved for us at the peterborough show due to lack of numbers.

We are happy to Rally all year around, weather permitting.  Our problem is that with Mick still working, we don't have every weekend available for camping plus we prefer to attend fairly local meets during the winter.

We also like rallying all year round but distance is a problem for us with the cost of fuel so we like to link rallies or other trips together.

I am with Jan n Bazza on this one, our first rally with the club this year will be Weston park and that will cost me £60 in fuel alone, add the cost of the meet and other incidental costs it will be in excess of £100, that is over £20 p.n. to sit in a field with no ehu and no showers or toilets.

I don't mind doing it in the warmer/summer weather when we can all sit outside and socialise not be sat in the m/h watching tv because its too wet/cold, but we will not be doing that in the winter months unless it is a meet close to home.

Same with me, I would love to be out as much as possible, but cost is probably the biggest constraint, and as much as I don't mind the cold, I hate being cold.

I would like to rally/travel all year round but finding open campsites with hard standing is a problem.  Being warm is a must but I have a gas fire in the van so I am usually warm enough in there.

Anytime of the year is ok with us but that work gets in the way, unfortunately Julie has to work either a Saturday or a Sunday every week which makes weekends difficult, but week days are easier for us at the moment.
