| Well things didn't go as we planned We did the night stay at Holyhead, and what a great wilding location that is, not sure if this will still be available as some mound building was being done whilst we were there, waiting for some pics off Jo to see why it's being done. Was supposed to be going to Trearddur Bay for two nights but we went in the opposite direction, don't know what it is with us, but every time we go to Anglesey we never seem to go on the south side of the A55! So the second night was spent up at Church bay, a lovely peaceful part of Anglesey a bit off the beaten track. 3rd night was at Cemeas bay, another good wilding location with great sea views 4th night was supposed to be at Beaumaris, you used to be able to park on the green (car park) pay £3 for the days parking and they didn't mind if you stayed overnight, they hand you a leaflet now telling you that you cannot overnight there, I nearly got my head bit off when I asked the attendant, stern reply "IT TELLS YOU YOU CANT ON THIS LEAFLET" which I was only just handed, no time to have read it!! So we decided to have a look up the coast to see what we could find, come across a wide layby on a quiet coastal road, another 3 vans already parked up in there so we joined them for the night, stunning views looking over to the north Wales coastline. We have left the island now Staying the night on Manorafon farm, heard there is a Karaoke on tonight run by some woman from Manchester that's staying here - looking forward to that. Just met up with Wurly and Jo, and had a tour of their new van - very nice indeed, although it could do with a couple more mugs in Off to Chester tomorrow, think we are going to stay on the Little Roodee car park, heard a lot of people mention this but we have never used it, supposed to be right next to the town _________________ Keeping Leapys boat sailing [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] | |

| We do normally carry 2 guest mugs but as we were in change over mode I wasn't allowed to bring everything... but then when we had guests I was asked why didn't I bring enough mugs?!! As you can imagine, I had plenty of guest Vodka glasses. Ask Polly... Ken & Adele just arrived too late!! | |

Hi Ken.... Yes. He did it first time and you can just about fit a postage stamp between the wall and the habitation door when opening it!!

| On little Roodee car park for our last night, nice location right next to the city and the racecourse, quite a few vans on but most are foreigners, pity all cities aren't as motorhome friendly as Chester is - £1.50 to park overnight right next to the City centre, well done Chester _________________ Keeping Leapys boat sailing [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] | |

| In the morning, drive up to the park n ride (less than a mile towards Wrexham on A483 but if that one has height barriers then go onto A55 towards M53 to the next P&R at Boughton Park where there are dedicated overheight spaces before the barriers), leave van there for free and get bus into Chester for a look around - it's £2.00 each return.

| Thanks Paul, but we're heading home tomorrow, we can pay another £4.00 in the morning (09:00) and get 3 hours parking, think that will be long enough before we set off on the dreaded journey home, ready for a nights sleep dreaming about work the day after _________________ Keeping Leapys boat sailing [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] | |

| I know a lovely place to wild, just past Beaumaris towards Puffin Island. The Seals bask on the rocks (at certain times of year) and there is a wild life reserve across the road. A really special place and so easy to find The place will hold about 6 motorhomes. | |

| Ken, it is about half of one mile before the toll gate and is a sort of lay by, or rest area, with a grass area between where you park and the road. The best thing is that as it is a dead end rd, no night passing traffic. Been there many times. | |

| Ken, it is very nice, but you need to take newspapers or whatever as nothing near at all. When the Seals bask on the rocks, it makes it all worth while and you even get the younger ones swimming near to you just to look and be inquisitive. It really is fantastic. | |

| Just too much to take in Jo, not just where the kettle is, do I plug it in? is it gas? wheres the sugar, coffee milk etc, does Adele take sugar? how many? what about milk? strong or weak Geez, this brewing up lark gives me headache Now seriously, She bought a new kettle last year, a shocking pink one for use on the gas, old type looking thing looped handle on top. So we arrive on a site one day during the winter, all tanks had been drained down so we had no water on board, 1st thing Adele said was, go to the tap and fill the kettle with water Yeah right, I'm going to go over there with a bright shocking pink kettle swinging about in my hand - i'm frightened of going near it now!!!!! _________________ Keeping Leapys boat sailing [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] | |
