afternoon guys and dolls and bob.just tweaking the trip to Italy.looking for a half way point to stop between ypres in belguim and the Brenner pass has any body got any ideas.

Go along the Romantic road, there's a stelplatz in majority of the towns along the route (most are free). 

That's the way I would go but Hugh will be towing a trailer and you know how the French dislike Brits with Trailers and Toads, also Hugh will be legging it down the motorways.

Places me and Barbara are visiting on our 3 week Italian Tour:
1 - Birmingham to Ypres = 281 miles
2 - Ypres to Rhine Falls = 457 miles
3 - Rhine Falls to Venice = 371 miles
4 - Venice to Cassino = 440 miles
5 - Cassino to Sorrento = 85 miles
6 - Sorrento to Pisa = 370 miles
That's as far as we have got so far then we have 5 days left to get back to Birmingham.  We are considering visiting Verdun and Epernay for the Champagne but have not decided yet.

Can recommend Champagne A.Lete in Damery just west of Epernay if you are members of France Passion (

Would also recommend Fussen in Germany as s stop - we did a similar 3 week tour this summer with a diversion to Salzburg.
