A lot I think Mike is to do with the camera and the filters, don't think if you take a good picture the PC is going turn it into a bad picture.

Bazza uses iPhoto to do final adjustments but the photo has to be fairly good to start with. That is an Apple product but there is probably something similar for Microsoft.

Blurred you will not do much with them, red eye can be fixed using most photo editing programs. All photos can be enhanced with a little sharpening and levels tweaked a bit. Since moving back to windows I'm using Photoshop elements 11 as I got it free, a very good free photo editor called Gimp can be found at [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]

Always rename and save the original so that it cannot be destroyed, you can use lightroom 4 because it is a non destructive program but some are not, be careful. Cal
