OK, thanks for that, I will post it again.

Ummm, no more so far then?
Might as well get the ball rolling.
I have been a dog owner for more than half a century, my first dog was a border collie named Sally, I spent all my money on her until my mother put a stop to it and I had to give her to a friend, I was fifteen(ish).
Since then I have had a great interest in dogs having owned about 100 or so, the vast majority of them have been English Springer Spaniels.  I have trained them for work in the shooting field and field trials which I have also judged.  I have one dear old boy left now, he has enjoyed a long and happy retirement and is about 13 years old, I fear he won’t be with us for very much longer and a hard decision must be made not long after Christmas.  He has been a wonderful worker and the best water dog I have ever SEEN let alone worked.
It so very sad to see him in old age unable to walk far, back legs give way as does his bladder, I have seen the very best of him and will remember him as he was not as he is now.  He has been a fantastic companion and friend, liked by all who met him, he was great with kids and other dogs, soft by nature he hasn’t a bad bone in him, I’m going to miss him terribly but my wife will be in bits at his going, I am NOT looking forward to it.

Well I got there at last, not the easiest process I have come across for posting pictures but it works and that's the main thing.
This is Bob, a strong dog and brilliant swimmer who always kept one eye on me in the water and did exactly as he was signaled to do regardless of distance, lovely old boy.  I'm gonna miss him.  Not the best picture in the world, I blame the photographer (me) Embarassed

We had a cocker spaniel that took off like that every time he saw water, used to dive in, all the water would turn brown as he scratted about on the bottom, wouldn't come up till he had a brick in his mouth  Shocked
Seemed to be down for ages some times, don't know where he got that from we never taught him to do it, not even by throwing a stick in for him.

Yeah the picture posting is a bit of a weird process but that's the way Forumotion do it and we cant change it, you can use other methods like using Flickr, dropbox etc

The beautiful Dancer, by name and by nature.  The poor lad contracted lung worm about 20 months ago and couldn't be saved, I was devastated by his death, his weight loss was incredible, from a normal healthy adult to a bag of coathangers in just a few hours.  I think the vet injected him with everything they had in the surgery (by the look of the bill) but he had gone too far, I was at work at the time and when I got home found him in the garden in a very distressed state.  Be careful with your own dogs if they should be in the habit of eating slugs and snails although I never saw Dancer do it, but it happened just the same.

Great picture, looks as if (she?) is on holiday in it let alone Spain, have a nice time and enjoy some sun, just to make you feel better still it's rained in stair rods here this morning and it's pretty cold.
