E-mail account wont update

Subject: E-mail account wont update Wed 8 Jan 2014 - 8:33

Since being hacked yesterday - my BT e-mail account will not up date -although I've followed suggested procedures
Has anyone else experienced this and can help?

Not personally experienced hacking Peter but do you think the hacker still has control over your account and that is why you are unable to update.

Shouldn't have control now Joyce - might be BT as they recognised unusual activity but had no problem last time

I have just looked at the stats and there has only been 1 post deleted in the last 2 days and that was by a member deleting his own post, no moderators have deleted anything, hope this helps Smile

Thanks for taking the time Ken, I think the mistake was mine, not sure why but sometimes when pressing "send" you are further prompted to press "save", I would guess I failed to do this. Please do NOT share this with any ladies browsing the forum because as you know we men are NEVER EVER wrong and I don't want to let the side down so this is between us, OK? Embarassed

I have had to do this on at least two occasions, the post you make is at the top of the page with the option to "save", not sure why this happens unless it's because I have been on the verge of being timed out??

Are you sure you pressed send and not preview originally?

EDIT - Just tried it and it still doesn't come up with "save"

Bit confused about how it happened now but it was definitely save, (I think lol) strange but not important, I did something wrong, without doubt, to lose the post but how it happened I have no idea. If the save thing should happen again I will use the snipping tool and make a post about it.

Back online with main computer-had to take it to the shop and get it repaired by them that know a lot more than me -most 8 year olds then lol

Usually occurs while typing a long post in answer to a thread someone sends and posts a reply in between scratch
