Brrrrrr come south for winter sun

Heck it is only 10 degrees outside in the Algarve, we have just shared a drop of red with some expat neighbours and are frozen, but now back in the van with the heating whacked up.

I think we have been away from Todmorden for too long and our extra layer of skin has dissolved

Your in the wrong place Alan, been 20* here today and getting warmer by the day, looking at the forecast you have rain all next week    22* here by Tuesday    cannot see Frank hanging around if the weather ain't good.

I believe Bob's near Santa Polo John, sounds like the south east of the country is warmer!!

Well it was 3C at Silves at 4am this morning as had to switch on heating!!! 

We are at the Marjal Crevillente and the weather has been great for 10 days, rained 1 night nothing since and it was 20° here yesterday but a freezing 18° today,  says it will be 22° by Tueasday. Evenings and nights down to 7/8° so no heat required.

Didn't know you were at Marjal Bob, thought you said in a previous post that you were elsewhere (can't remember the place).

Hi mate,we are moving on tomorrow morning ( back to Pedro's as have some stuff to do for him before making our way back to Spain in 14 days or so ), but here right now at Quinta do Sobreiro, 5km outside Silves and 5.5 euros a night (wifi only in bar, had Sunday lunch today and very nice). The chap has only been running 6/7 weeks and must say basic but nice and clean, transport available, views overlooking countryside and sun from left to right across site.

Hi Allen, yes we are at the Marjal and enjoying it so far, they have amended their system for paying this year, if you use ASCI its €16pn with 4kw ehu but if you take their price its €14pn + €0.35 per kW so it works out cheaper for 1month+ ehu. We are in pocket so far taking their rates as we have free Spa/pool access but with ASCI its €5 per day per person extra, no free pool/spa with ASCI :-(

Staying until around the 24 Feb then moving on so should be here when you arrive.

Did Marjal inform you of the 14 euro + elect rate when you were booking in?
Last winter we were only using a midgies above 2 Kw / day, just for the fridge & battery charger, and it was the same when we were metered in Benidorm.
So, looks like we'll go the same way, as we want to use the Spa every day.

Forgot to ask, but is that 14 euro + 35c leccy rate the nightly rate if you stop for a month ?

Yes it is Alan, under that time you use ASCI €16 pn + €5 each for spa.

No up at 08.30 and did twenty press ups then a ten mile  bike ride, now having my weetebangs and a cuppa :-)

Alan on my PC at home it's alt,space,8 and that gives me a € sign
On my iPhone I press the symbols key twice and up it pops.

Now if your phone and PC where made before the € was made then you will have to update you equipment :-)
